Driving value to our societies and industries
We acknowledge the challenges our business face and how difficult it might get to make the right decision. Identifying the right course of action might not be obvious or it can be conflicted with our competitive nature. At those times, we are motivated to consult and take a moment to reflect on our inspirations. Our Code of Business Conduct is our guiding light during those difficult times. It helps all of us to make the right choices to serve our purpose and demonstrate our ethical nature.
Our Company’s purpose is to provide value to our stakeholders: our societies where we operate, investors, customers, and our colleagues who we work with. Our quest is to differentiate ourselves to maximize our shareholders’ value. This is what we aspire to do in a broad and enduring sense. This purpose is evident since the inception of ARGAS back in 1966 and empowered by our founders, shareholders, and the previous management over the years and since then.
The values we share are embodied in everything we do: we will continue to exhibit ethical and honest behavior, fair offering, equal conduct in safe and healthy work environment. We believe in our teamwork, sound decision making, and effective strategies naturally flowing from each individual’s “give and take” throughout every engagement with our colleagues, customers, suppliers and partners. This what makes ARGAS the everlasting provider in this industry.
This is our Trace; a unique thin line of quality reflection of each one of us, but collectively, we image something special.
This is our record …
This is our legacy…
At ARGAS, providing a safe, accident free workplace is vital to its operations. ARGAS follows internationally recognized standards as laid down by the OGP and IAGC. It is therefore our policy that people on-site – whether they are employees or visitors – are aware of our policies and, ultimately, come to no harm during their visit to ARGAS’ facilities. To this end, we have stringent procedures in place to guarantee that safety is enshrined at every level of the organization.
ARGAS works in environments that are often dangerous and challenging. Whether on land, at sea, or in confined spaces, our operations have never disrupted public life or harmed the environment. We also our responsibility to protect the environment through sustainable practices. We owe our success to the careful implementation of our health, safety, and environment policies developed over many decades of operations in very challenging environments.
At ARGAS, we recognize the significant impact our operations have on our surroundings. We therefore ensure that our activities promote the well-being of our employees, our partners, and the markets we operate in. Taking into account our critical position in the region’s geosciences market, our remit is very large in scope. This puts huge responsibility on everybody in the company to standout for our values and obligation towards the ecosystem we operate in.
That is demonstrated through making a concerted effort to develop local scientific communities working with universities and professional societies. We develop the skills of our workforce, suppliers and clients towards a full capacity performance.
Alongside supporting the growth of our employees, we also recognize our ability to affect change across societies. ARGAS also makes great effort by sponsoring schools through software donations, trainings as well as individual students looking for a successful career in geosciences.
Many of our board members, senior management, and employees are also actively engaged in a range of non-profit initiatives, some of which are directly supported by ARGAS.
As a conscientiously engaged corporate citizen, ARGAS recognizes its responsibility to develop local resources, no matter where we operate. Having business in a country helps recruit and develop staff to create critical mass for the industry to flourish by enabling access to advance research and development centers in the world. We go even further by hosting career development workshops across the region. In addition to human part of the equation, we give special emphasis on securing all material and services locally.
